Enjoy a crafty half at a crafty half

A new charity half marathon has been launched in London with a difference – at each fuelling station along the route you can enjoy a half pint of craft beer. The Street Child Craft Half takes place at Wimbledon Common on Sunday 4 February with all fundraising due to support the charity’s work with disadvantaged children in some of the poorest areas of the world. Okay, so two laps of trail running in Wimbledon Common in February might not be everyone’s ideal Sunday morning, but the promise of craft ale to keep you going, plus the fact that you’ll be raising money for a great cause has to make it worth it, right? Better yet, the event has a ‘half-ter’ party where you can toast your achievement with fellow runners in the event village enjoying live music, street food, and perhaps a half pint or two more of delicious craft beer.

You can find out more about the event at www.street-child.co.uk/craft-half – entries cost just £25, which includes a finishers t-shirt and medal. So, lace up and get some last-minute training in (we recommend finishing your training runs at the pub).
