Thornbridge coming to Brum

Drinkers of Birmingham rejoice – Peak District-based brewer Thornbridge will soon be opening its first ever craft beer tap room in your fair city. The pub, which will open in the old Lloyds Bank building on Colmore Road, is set to be the first of 10 new tap room sites that Thornbridge plans to open around the country over the next few years in a joint partnership with craft beer wholesaler Pivovar.

A statement on the Thornbridge website said: "The Birmingham Tap will be a traditional take on the modern craft beer pub, incorporating the Thornbridge brand values and making the most of the history of the building. The pub will be welcoming to all, family friendly and will have a food offering to complement the range of Craft Beers. Thornbridge and Co. hope to add to the excellent craft beer offering in Birmingham and give the opportunity for the city to have an ever changing range of Thornbridge beers to try on draught and in bottle."

The excitement doesn't end there, though – Thornbridge has already secured a second site for the next of these craft beer bars in York, which is set to open by the end of the year. The team are also assessing sites in London, Manchester, Brighton and Leeds, so watch this space!
